Renaissance
“Photography has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
I love to shoot in museums. The architecture, lighting and design of the exhibits, makes them perfect locations for a photo shoot.
With so much beauty on display, it is easy to make images that are pretty. I challenge myself to go further, either by setting the art in context or by shooting just a small detail of an artist's creation, often from an unusual angle.
The images in this collection encourage the viewer to pay close attention to both the art and its setting. Seen in context, they offer new life-- renaissance--to the artists and to the museum curators whom I admire.
